Olympic emotions on Lake Como: in Lezzeno, the exhibition dedicated to the 2026 Games
The Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympics arrives on Lake Como, stopping at the Yacht Club Eriolario in Lezzeno (CO), in a charming and historic setting.
Here, the project “Sport Movies & TV – Culture Through Olympism,” promoted by FICTS, comes to life, celebrating the connection between sport, culture, and local heritage. The initiative highlights the traditions of Lombardy and Veneto, intertwining them with the values and history of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The exhibition offers a visual journey featuring around 300 photographs displayed on tribeca panels, accompanied by a 53-minute video. The content focuses on two main themes: the role of women in the Olympic Games and the iconic Olympic ceremonies. The film also brings together some of the most powerful and emotional moments from the Olympic and Paralympic Games over the years. All the material on display is exclusive.
The exhibition, with free admission, can be visited until the end of October at the Eriolario Yacht Club, located at Località Calvasino 25 in Lezzeno, on Lake Como.
Founded in 1865, the venue is a historic landmark in the area. As emphasized by Erio Matteri in Erio Matteri history, the lake’s last master boat builder: “The Olympic and Paralympic Games, like our work, represent traditions and passions passed down through generations. We are proud to host this initiative, aimed especially at young people, to share the values of sport and the Games that will soon take place in our region.”
Paola Matteri also highlights the strong connection with Olympic values: “Our work reflects commitment, perseverance, and the pursuit of perfection, just like athletes’ performances. The images in the exhibition are truly moving.”
To complete the message, Francesca Matteri adds: “This exhibition is not only an opportunity to show young people the challenges of high-level sport, but also a way to convey that sport can be a real path for growth and redemption. It is the same spirit we promote through our association ‘L’Arcobaleno di Maddi’, which supports minors through education and sports activities. We are delighted to host such a meaningful project.”
